If you're a mature motorist looking for ways to help prolong your driving years, AAA offers numerous traffic safety and educational programs that help keep mature drivers safely behind the wheel.
Courses for senior drivers
The Roadwise Driver online and in-person (select locations) course helps older drivers understand age-related changes and shows them how to adjust their driving accordingly. This interactive course includes brain training and assessments.

Getting older comes with certain struggles, and driving can be one of them. Keeping the Keys is a free, hour-long workshop designed to help keep senior drivers on the road for as long as safely possible.
The adult skills audit is a 90-minute, one-on-one session with a state-licensed AAA driving instructor who will observe driving performance in various situations on a set route. Only available in CA, ME, NH, and VT.
CarFit program
CarFit is an educational program that helps older adults check the "fit" of their personal vehicles. Technicians guide participants through a 12-point checklist to correctly adjust car mirror positions, the distance between the driver's chest and the steering wheel, and other vehicle features.
