While you’re in Normandy, check out these other attractions.

The Bayeux Tapestry: The story of William the Conqueror and his 1066 invasion of England is told in 230 feet of illustrated cloth at the Bayeux Museum, which also houses the Memorial Museum of the Battle of Normandy. Bayeux Tapestry adult admission, about $11; combined adult admission to both museums, about $14. bayeuxmuseum.com.

Honfleur: Corot and countless other artists have painted this fishing village on the Seine estuary.

Deauville: This community, which has been a beach resort since the 19th century, hosts an annual film festival focusing on American cinema each September. Take a stroll on the boardwalk.
