The Infiniti QX60, completely redesigned for 2022, offers a different take on upscale transportation—a classy-looking crossover that blows away the average luxury car in the practicality department.
This midsize crossover nicely combines the best qualities of high-end sedans and über-useful car-based SUVs in a sleek package. The top-of-the-line Autograph model offers comfortable seating for adults in 3 rows, done up in high-quality materials, including a wood-trimmed dash and quilted leather upholstery with contrasting stitching and piping. The heated/ventilated front seats with massage are a particularly nice touch.
Posh accoutrements aside, there’s also a cargo hold with nearly 15 cubic feet of room behind the third row, and more than 75 cubic feet with the rear seats folded, not counting the handy underfloor storage bin. Let’s see a luxury sedan match that.
Under the hood, a 3.5-liter V6 engine (295 hp) mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission delivers brisk acceleration. Both FWD and AWD are available. Ride quality is a bit firm but luxury-car smooth, and though the handling isn’t exactly sporty, the suspension is well-tuned enough to make hustling the QX60 along a curvy stretch of road enjoyable.
